COVID-19 Task Force
The University, in accordance with P.L.2011Chapter 214, an act concerning the disaster preparedness of institutions of higher education and supplementing 3B of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes has developed and filed with the State of New Jersey an Emergency Operations Plan, approved by the Rutgers Board of Governors, to ensure the continuity of essential institutional functions under all circumstances.
The State further requires that an Emergency Management Coordinator be appointed by Board resolution. Antonio M. Calcado, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer was appointed to this position on October 5, 2017.
The plan calls for an Emergency Management Team, composed of senior administrators and department heads, generally the president’s leadership team, whose organizations have emergency response functions or resources. The Emergency Management Coordinator coordinates the response efforts of the various team leaders.
