To Members of the University Community,

The State of New Jersey recently expanded the eligibility guidelines for COVID-19 vaccinations to include a number of new groups, including those 65 and older and younger individuals with certain high-risk health conditions.

Detailed, up-to-date information on the rollout phases, eligibility, registration, vaccine efficacy, vaccine safety, and vaccination sites, as well as answers to commonly asked questions, can be found at https://covid19.nj.gov/pages/vaccine. Please understand that the vaccine rollout is fluid with changes occurring on a regular basis, so we strongly urge you to familiarize yourselves with this resource and visit it on a regular basis.

As a reminder, Rutgers does not currently have vaccines nor are we authorized to vaccinate our community. However, as the federal and state programs evolve, we will continue to work with the state in the hopes of implementing our own inoculation program, and we anticipate being able to provide details over the coming weeks. Comprehensive information on the university’s response to COVID-19 can be found at https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu.

As always, please Wear a face covering, Watch your distance, and Wash your hands!

Stay safe and be well.
